FAQ
Cricket
Which spec do I use?
For the majority of LED Ribbon applications, tiled is the best spec to use. The three files required will be repeated around the stadium, and will work for every stadium in the country.
360 should only be used when creating something bespoke for a particular venue or for precise positioning of creative. ie splitting venue in half down the middle with two teams creative, a ball seamlessly spinning around the stadium etc.
For all other specs (End Of Wicket, Sight Screen, Big Screen etc), these are only required if you have an entitlement to this asset.
There are two tile sizes for The Perimeter LED Ribbon, will both of these play?
Yes – depending on venue. Given the End Of Wicket moves by match, the number of pixels square of the wicket varies, so either the 2100 or 2500 will need to be used depending on the total size.
These two tiles will never touch, they will always be separated by the End Of Wicket.
In case of a takeover (covering the End Of Wicket) then only one of these sizes will be used, which one is dependant on the venue.
What is the duration of content? Do I need to supply a static version?
In-Game
Over by over creative only. Content will play for 5 seconds (between overs, and between deliveries if time allows) and then will hold on the last frame. This is the most important part, and a difference from previous years (previously an animated version, and static version, were both required to be uploaded). Whatever the last frame is, will be displayed for the length of the over (ie must not have logos animating off). This content can be Tiled Spec only
Out Of Game
This is the out of game playlist. This can include Pre-Game, Innings Break, Post Game, Rain Delay etc. This creative will always be 30 seconds long only. This content can be Tiled Spec only.
Match Day Entertainment
This is everything else that doesn’t fall into one of these categories and can be variable lengths. This content can be Tiled Spec or 360 spec, however 360 must receive approval before development
- Team/Country based content (team entry, countdown)
- Premium Moments (4, 6, Wicket)
- Activations (fast ball, Power Surge takeover)
Depending on the moment, these will either loop (ie wicket) or play once (ie Countdown)
Brands do not need to supply every spec, only your entitlement.
Does each stadium require a different Parapet size tile?
No, each stadium will use the 2300 x 80 size tile. During the over this content will scroll very slowly, so no logo sits across a physical break in LED.
This scroll is done in the playout software, not in the creative itself.
Can I upload Perimeter and Parapet seperately?
Yes, for brands that only have an allocation for Perimeter or Parapet. Any brand or moment that requires multiple levels playing at the same time, must be uploaded together.
Do I need to supply End Of Wicket?
Only brands that have an entitlement for this asset needs to supply End Of Wicket. Takeover moments, Match Day Entertainment do not need to supply in this format, that content will be mapped to cover this asset in both Tiled or 360 specs.
